The new AWP-24-3 is the next in our AWP-24 Series of capacitance wave height gauges. As with all AWP-24s, the AWP-24-3 is ideally suited for indoor and outdoor applications where high accuracy water level measurement is required and for unidirectional and multidirectional wave measurement. The sensor provides an accurate, highly responsive measure of depth changes from sub-millimeter to meters. It comes in a rugged die-cast aluminium alloy enclosure that allows it to be deployed indoors or outdoors.
- no electrical interference with other probes or instrumentation
- measures capacitance digitally with no energy discharge into the water
- highly linear (0.15% over the measurement range)
- fast response time (a new sample is availabe every 5 ms.)
- low power consumption
- highly responsive measure of depth changes from sub-millimeter to meters
- guaranteed linearity and accuracy over wide range of water and ambient temperatures
- less frequent calibrations required due to temperature stable electronics and probe head
- can be used in both fresh water and salt water
- rugged, die-cast aluminum, weatherproof enclosure
- monitor waves in 3-D hydraulic models, wave flumes, towing tanks
- measure multidirectional waves and water surface geometry
- wave height feedback for active wave absorption systems
- indoors or outdoor measurements in fresh or salt water
- anywhere where high accuracy and ease of use are important
- access to external control signals to allow the AWP-24-3 to be managed without opening the enclosure
- or choose the AWP-24-3-E and Akamina will mount the external Push-Button and Status and Power LEDs for you (image below)
- high-level analogue output (+/5V range)
- low power consumption (15 mA at 10 volts)
- easily configured by pushing a button. No dials to turn or jumpers to set.
The AWP-24-3 combines temperature stable electronics and a high quality Wave Probe Head. This results in extremely small calibration slope changes over temperature, making frequent calibrations redundant.
